Iranian filmmaker to serve on jury at Golden Beggar

Iranian filmmaker Saman Hosseinpour has been selected to serve on the jury at the International Festival of Local Televisions Golden Beggar in Slovakia.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that the 28-year-old director, along with four jurors from Slovakia, Serbia, Italy and Switzerland, will judge the participating works at the 27th edition of the festival.

Saman Hosseinpour was awarded at the 22nd edition of the Golden Beggar for his short film ‘Fish’.

He has so far made nine short films that brought him several awards.

Hosseinopur previously served as a juror at other film festivals, including the 2nd International Portrait Film Festival (IPFF) in Bulgaria.

The International Festival of Local Televisions Golden Beggar will take place on September 8-11.
